New purchase…65 C10 shortbed stepside

When I was 14 years old (circa 1995), I BEGGED my parents to let me buy a baby blue 1965 shortbed stepside as my first car. It was “too dangerous” (according to them) so I got a ‘92 GMC Sonoma instead.

I’ve owned a 1970 C10 and once I sold it to someone who shipped it to Brazil, I tried a 66 Ford F100, ‘63 T-Bird and lastly, a beautiful ‘52 3100.

Wife wanted a Jeep, so after I sold the 3100, I haven’t owned a vintage vehicle for a few years. Jeep just sold and I wasted no time picking up this ‘65 C10 like I wanted back in the mid-90’s.

Looking forward to being back on this forum and getting this one some A/C for our lowcountry seasons of almost summer, summer, still summer and Christmas!

She has a SBC350, auto trans, power steering and power drum brakes. Vehicle was originally from Georgia but last owner was out of NC.

Thanks in advance for all of the dumb questions I’m sure to ask!

Welcome back!
I see that you have a passenger side alternator, just like Arne's truck here: https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=838517
He did a really clean a/c setup with the passenger side alternator, so maybe there's a little motivation in there for ya
