1966 K10 Tie Rod Question

I have a bent tie rod. It is not badly bent but is bent in several spots. I have converted the front brakes to Disc brakes and am going to add power steering. I kept the closed knuckle Dana 44. I was thinking that a tie rod upgrade may be needed. I can get a 71 Blazer tie rod that is in good shape and was thinking that may be the way to go. Not sure of the tapers on the ends if they will work with the 1966 steering knuckles? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
