I'm using Pace Setter race headers, they're 1 3/4" primaries to a 3" collector.
And the price is not bad for the fit.

Re: My 1954 Chevy PickUp-truck

Hi guys...
one little update:

Yesterday i fixed my airride equipment behind rear axle...i make a aluminium-box which is powdercoated too. Sorry for bad pics....i only have my handy near to me. The hoses and later the elctric runs in a cable-channel to front of car, which i fixed with ultra strong hook-and-loop tape inside my frame-profile. So you donīt see any cables and hoses...and i havenīt got to drill the frame.
Perhaps you see the cabel-channel on pic below...the hook-and-loop tape was a little bit to wide -> thats the black line on pic.
Apart from that i still waiting for the headers... :-( ....itīs really frustrating.

Last week i ordered Hushpower II- Mufflers, Lokar dip-sticks, and vibrant exhaust-tips...yesterday i ordered a march-performance serpentine-kit for my engine....

Nice greetings from germany...sorry for my stupid english :-D

yours Robin

Where do you plan on putting the fuel tank? Clean work! I like your installation.

Re: My 1954 Chevy PickUp-truck

Hello to all of you,
long time since my last post....here are new pictures with work iīve done yesterday...install the March-Pulley-Kit and the Doug Thorley headers.
Iīve been waiting 5 1/2 month for them to get....last week theyīre finally arrived. Looks absolute great....next step will be to build the stainless-steel-exhaust system with the hushpower II-mufflers...keep you up-to-date

Greetings from germany,
Robin ;-)

Re: My 1954 Chevy PickUp-truck

What fun, working with all new parts and a very nice job engineering all of your components. With the tank behind the seat, is the one that came with the truck or one for the return line to the FI (new) if so which one did you use?
Did you take the protective caps off of the A/c for the photo!
Do you have a straight shot from the steering column to the rack and pinion, with the long awaited headers to arrive?
Did you have to clearence (cut out and replace) the fire wall or move the radiator support forward to place the engine in the chassis? Your plan is coming together great!!!!!
Greetings from the Great Southwest of Arizona.

Hi, i will try to answer your questions...but i have to say that my english is not the best

..tank-question: is the original tank of this truck...at least until now

..steering-question: no, i donīt have a straight shot to the rack and pinion to arrive - i must do customize-work here

..engine-position-question: Iīll have to do a small cutout from the lower firewall-section for transmission-clearance....the radiator should be stay on the original position---at least i hope that!! We will see when it comes together...keep your fingers crossed for me.

So, not the best english but i hope you understood.

Regards from germany...and thanks to all for the compliments.

Hey 1sik52, I don't mean to hijack this thread, but could/would you post a build up page (if you have the pics) of your truck. I'd really like to see more pics of your truck if you don't mind. This is one of the coolest AD's I've seen in a while!

Re: My 1954 Chevy PickUp-truck

NEWS:
This week iīve ordered the instruments and some air-condition-equipment (vents, hoses, bulkhead), ... air ride height control should be come next week.

Would be cool to have a sponsor ...the project eats money how i breathe fresh air ...donīt know what iīve paid for example for shipping costs until now - itīs such a huge amount.
In Germany we have some saying for that: "in order to be beautiful, it is necessary to suffer"
