I recognize those green hoses!! I had a 94 Caprice cruiser car for a while. That LT1 will be nice in your truck.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Been working on my wing windows.. 50 years of time has made the old rubber as hard as plastic. No fun getting it out of the tracks. But I have one done and the other 50% so on to the next thing HA HA

Change my motor adapter plates which finally allowed the DT headers to fit, thank goodness, 1 7/8" tubes are sweet!

I think I can make the hoses work with the core support merger... I think the power will be just about right.... I really want to sit the cruise at 70MPH and not have to worry about wrenching on it...

Finished lowering the front. Now my clutch yoke hits the exhaust pipe coming down from the manifold. I guess a new exhaust pipe run is my next project.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Fabbed up and welded in the firewall plate on the driver's side and cut out the rusty floors. Question- who sells all the galvanized sheet metal, rivets and the black gooey stuff to all previous owners of these trucks? LOL wow this 'burb had it bad! The driver's floorboard had to be about 1/4" thick.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Put the stromberg i rebuilt on, set the point gap and changed three fouled plugs, yes a 305v6 will run on three cylinders. Added fresh gas and went for a test drive. Brakes need major work now.

Pulled out the spare tire and brackets and the overload springs.
Wonder how long the spare's been under there?

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I just saw the picture of your white 63'. Real nice! Do you have any other pictures? I'm building a 63' bbw swb custom cab truck myself. Looks like we don't live all that far apart either. Ive got a 69' Vette motor lined up (427 Tri Power ), should be pretty nice. Also looking for help uploading pictures to this forum.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Oh, I'm stressing over body work and just found the rust that I thought wasn't gonna be there. No pro at body work and now to find out that I need a new rocker on the drivers side. Oh well, it's all good.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Got my frame mount brake pedal/master cylinder mounts made and test fit. Also made a matching throttle pedal set up thru the floor. The idea here is to have nothing on the firewall. Should be making and installing the front floor pans tomorrow-wanted to get the brake pedal done and fab floor around it. Will post pics in my build thread. Also made my own LED front park/turn signals for the GMC hood I am using. If anyone wants to have a set, let me know-it was cheap and easy!
