Post pedal to Z bar clutch pushrod Q

ok on V8 2wd 4 speed models, is the pedal to Z bar clutch pushrod through the firewall supposed to be straight round rod or bent/curved at one end, at the Z bar end ? there are two versions of them out there, need ot know which is for which for sure,. cant remember now.. the curved end ones are a gray color metal and the straight rod ones are darker steel,,.

thanks for anything
