v8 swap question

Hey all, I have a 93 Bravada that I am putting a 383 into and I have a few problems. The main one is, with the correct oil pan and motor mounts, no matter how much I try to add in spacers, the oil pan still sits on top of the front differential. Is there a different set of mounts that I should use? Different oil pan? Help... this is getting irritating. Thanks!

You need a different oil pan. Depending on what year motor you have, one of these should work or if you are good with a welder (oxy/acetylene or tig) you can make your own using the sump from the original v6 pan and the v8 pan.

What motor mounts are you using?

EDIT: I just reread your post, you said you are using the correct pan, which one are you using?

Re: v8 swap question

is the AWD t-case and front axle setup the same as the standard 4x4? that'd be the only reason I could see...

Re: v8 swap question

The front end is the same as the 4x4. The transfer case is what makes it awd or 4x4.

Re: v8 swap question

Hey,
I am using the Advance Adapters oil pan, and JTR style mounts with 2.8 frame side mounts, if that helps anything.
