How do you know that they are 3" drop spindles then? Or that they are drop spindles at all?
And the cups look to be too tall. I'd say at least a half inch can be removed.

Adam,...
That plate in the picture is your upper plate,... correct?
Do you have any pics of the lower a-arm in this same configuration?
You're not running a lower a-arm plate also???

Re: Is something wrong here? thought I'd be lower...

I don't see how you could get any lower.
The cups can be cut down to 1.625" total height,... and the bag will take up approximately 3".
I think you are as low as possible.
I would be worried about your upper ball joint bolts, cutting the rubber boot at full drop.
You might want to turn them around.

Re: Is something wrong here? thought I'd be lower...

Im going to take a guess on the situation. You may have 2.5 drop spindles, not 3".
Also, your tires are too tall. Do a 245/35/20 instead. Lastly, your cups are too tall. Cut as much as you can

In the first pic in post #34 it looks like the heater hoses are wedged between the heater box and the wheel, is that maybe a problem?

Re: Is something wrong here? thought I'd be lower...

Ok, a couple things:

1: The bolts for your upper ball joints are in backwards. The nut should be up with the bolt head down.

2: You do have drop spindles, I can plainly see the back of the spindle in one of your pics. It is higher (more towards the middle) than stock ones so it's a drop spindle for sure but may not actually be 3" probably a 2.5" or 2".

You have to flip the bolts for sure.

I will get them changed tomorrow

I'm almost 100% sure they are 3" spindles as they rubbed my 15" rally's pretty good, I dont think a 2.5" spindle will cause any rubbing

Probably won't change anything for his getting lower problem but it will keep the bolts from cutting into the rubber boot.

pull the bags and shocks to check the travel of the ball joints, thats the easy way, the, add parts back in until you find the binding point.

I agree....kinda....
I think they are 2.5" Drop Spindles
Cut the cups down to 1 5/8"
DON'T go to a 245/35..you will hate yourself if you do

Re: Is something wrong here? thought I'd be lower...

A sawz-all and a welder can fix anything though...

It looks like his bag is fully compressed so I don't think modding the ball joint angle will help any. I have 3" spindles on mine and I know my arms didn't max out the ball joint like that when I was running this same set up. My lower cups were a lot shorter than that too.
