Re: ART StrongArms, $639/set

For anyone wondering -

The ART arms came in today. The box weighs nearly 100lbs, and is 24" x 24" x 24" in size, approximately.

So, IMHO, $65 is not an excessive amount for shipping.

And yes - the coupon above obviously works

Awesome deal shifty.

I sure was wrong in my thinking that such a large place would be drop shipping items like Stylin. I stand corrected. Maybe I should call about renting some of their empty warehouse space.LOL

Re: ART StrongArms, $639/set

Man, I have way too much else to do. I got the rear of the frame taken care of, gotta weld in the notch, gotta finish welding up unnecessary holes which means I gotta mock up the drivetrain this weekend to figure out which of my tranny xmember holes I can delete, and then gotta decide what other holes I'll keep. You know, I'd hoped to have it coated already, figured that woulda been first to get done, but all these junkyard runs and parts runs and other BS have set me back!

The whole reason for tearing this thing down was to change the quick connect fitting on my T56! WHAT HAPPENED?!!

Thanks Shifty. Just ordered the full coolride with upper and lower arms and a musclebar.

I can't decide if you saved me $260 or cost me $1100+???

Re: ART StrongArms, $639/set

Shifty,

If I order the 73+ arms, then I can just use the 73+ drop spindles for a set of 73+ brakes with my current crossmember, correct? Then all I need is the tie rod adapter to stick with the stock steering linkage until I go to the rack setup.

I will be using a dropmember once my motor is built, but I want to get the arms/discs/bags in now.

I used the cheater disc kit last time and paid way too much for ball joints and tie rod ends. I will convert the rear to 5 lug discs when I put the kp notches in.

Hey Jimmy! Did i miss something? You truck looks like it is raised not lowered. You were sitting pretty low to the ground. What happened? Tell me you didn't cross over to the other side.........

I did, briefly. I bought a huge redneck truck that ended up being WAY more trouble than it was worth. I am currently working on a plan to build a '66 LWB.

I want to run a dropmember, but I won't be pulling the engine for at least a few months. My goal is to swap out the control arms, brakes, and install the bags. Then once my motor is done, pull the gasser, install the dropmember, then install a 6.2 turbo diesel.

I hope to start a build thread soon. The '66 will pick up where the '69 left off.
