Can a late 70's tilt column be used in a 65?

Considering picking up a 65 and have a late 70's van tilt column laying around. Can anyone tell me if this column would fit in a 65?

Thanks.

Yes you can.. I have a 76 van column in my 65.. Just mount it where you want it and put the parking brake/steering column mount in and mark the two holes and weld some nuts onto the steering column so you can just use the one bracket.. You might have to cut the bolts to fit.. Also you will have to use a lower steering column to the box that can be joined with a u joint from Flaming River or someplace.. Splined to DD joint.. I have some picture at http://community.webshots.com/album/73633195rsVEee

for a sure fit with nothing to do you will probably have to get one from Flaming River or Ididit... they start at $300 for unpainted steel and no shifter on the column... Then you still have to do the lower steering column but they should be able to sell you all you need... I got the tilt column from pick and pull on Half Price Day for $28...
