Power Steering, WOW

Today I put in power steering. Every thing bolted up no mods. I got the box from a 71 Chev PU, the brackets from a 73 Nova and the pump from a 75 Chev PU. Took about 3 Hours to do. It is the first thing I have done where every thing went right. What a dream to drive now
Here is a shot on the after installation

I've done two of these trucks and both went pretty well. The hardest part is usually figuring out the pulley set up and finding the right hoses.

As much as I hate to admit it, the bus steers easier than my truck.

On the flip side, there's more road feel with my truck. And both vehicles require many, many turns lock-to-lock.

Thumbs up

The only thing I miss is the "road feel". Otherwise a power steering conversion is the best thing I ever did.
