I have had them on my Burb for over a year now and they are great with little to no wear. I have towed almost 5000lbs up and down the mountains in Arizona with NO brake fade. They grab great. You can use your drums as long as they are in good shape. You will get a new heavier spring kit with your new shoe set. They also ofer something new that they did not have when I got mine, and that is wheel cylinders that have 24% more preasure? Supposidly makes your manual brakes act more like power brakes.

John Ambrose, the owner of the company is a stand up guy. I had a minor problem with my shoes long after the writen warranty was over. With out batting an eye he sent out a new set the next day even though I said it was not a problem I was worried about.

If you decide to get the brakes let him know you heard about his brakes on the board from the guy with the 68 Suburban

That is why I put them on mine. I think you will be very happy if you decide to go with them. You might even forget about the idea of disc brakes
