Very Nice! Is that a stock color combo for the 68 GMC'S?

Shouldnt the pillars and top of doors be painted white? Or did some come that way?

Good point, i never noticed that.
I jst went through all my pics, and all the white roofed trucks had the pillers and door frames painted white....along with my '70 Longhorn...but it is just a white roof on gold (and blue) body.

I've been curious about your truck, but I don't recall seeing it around here. Did you get the message I sent you the other day? We'll have to get together and check out each other's trucks since we're both in Winfield. I'm easy to find, so let me know.

E-mail me at steer50@hotmail.com. Who is your dad? I might know him. I'm quite a bit older that you, he-hee, and might just be older than your dad too! I'll e-mail you back my info. I grew up on a farm east of Winfield, but live on Fuller St. now.

I think I met him when I used to work for the Rental Station. Does he work at Kan-Pac? I know where you live exactly now, recognize the house across the road. I grew up 2 miles south and 1 mile west of where you live, and know the old neighborhood well. Larry Barnes is my name, and I'm in the book. My dad still lives out at the farm, and I'm out there some, so I'll try and catch you guys at home sometime when I take the truck out for a cruise. I've had a bunch of old Chevy trucks through the years, so I might be able to answer some of your questions and give you some tips. Always nice to hear that a guy your age is interested in these good old chevy trucks.

I knew my feeble memory would work for something one of these days! Your dad is a real nice guy, if you're anything like him, I'm sure you are too! I'll try and get over that way sometime soon and visit you both. Amazing the things a guy discovers on a computer isn't it? Neighbors!! Hope you didn't cut up your dash yet, I can show you why you should never consider it. Some people on this board seem to think its cool, but I consider it to be not only un-neccesary, but border-line stupidity! When you see and hear mine, you'll understand. Look forward to meeting you, LB.
