66 steering column

What are the better ways of changing the stock 66 C10 steering column for a more comfortable steering experience. Will a 67-72 column work or the 73-80van tilts. I need to move the steering wheel closer to the dash so my knees do not hit it when engaging the clutch. Post pics of your conversions if possible.

Re: 66 steering column

Don't have any pics. I had a 63 with a 70 column in it and it was farther away from the dash by about an inch or better. I would suggest finding a tilt column, or shortening the one you have.
