Side pipes with headers
I saw a black 70 Chevy with a 350 and a set of chrome side pipes last week while travelling back from a funeral. I gotta say, it looked and sounded awfully nice. What are your opinions on this? Does anyone have a pic of one with sidepipes they could share with us?

J.C Whitney used to sell them. They look sharp on older vettes and camaros, I just don't think they are what I would like on my truck..........................JB

I like side pipes also. I think they would look really good on a short step!

I think a short step is where they would look best.

Back in high school I had a '68 that I bought with sidepipes on it. They were the classic pipes with the slotted oval cut heat shield on them. They were OK but when I lowered the truck they had to go because they hung below the frame line and I kept pinching them pretty hard pulling in and out of driveways (that, and I went pseudo-fourwheelin' once or twice... hey, I was a kid!). But that was 20+ years ago. They don't really appeal to me any more. However, a nice 50's sled with some Lakester pipes on it would be nice!
But not like these... ![]() Kenneth

what else is a stang good for?
Well, if you're going to ruin a car by making a frankenstein experiment out of it, what better than a stang?
