New guy just saying hi!

Just wanted to say hi to all. I have a 1965 stepside that I am working on. Seems like we must be the odd guys, what I mean by that is there are tons of parts for the pre 1960, and then again after 1966 I have been working on cars and have been in the engine rebuilding buisness for most of my life, but have now retired from that, so maybe I can help here from time to time, although I have to say when it comes to some things like trannys rear ends and the late model things like computers and such I am totally cluess. Anyway it was nice to find this site, and I look forward to getting to know some of you.

Thanks again everyone for all the welcomes. My basic interest in this 65 is to make it sound with a some updated things like disc brakes, self darkining rearview mirror, but is going to be a daily driver, so I am not going to get real crazy. I am putting in a 350 chevy with the 700R4 transmission, and electric fan. I just droped the engine and tranny in yesterday. The engine is the last one I built before I closed my shop. It is .o30 over with a ZZ4 roller cam stamped stainless steel roller rockers, roller timming chain, 194 intake valve with comp springs and keepers, airgap intake, and holley 750 carb with all the little goodies to make the tv cable for the 700 work. I did get a little wild with the engine, with lots of chrome, colored an fittings. The dash, I stripped down and painted white, and where the warning lights where, I replaced with colored leds, and I replaced the colored lense with milk jug plastic. Eventually I will be giving this truck to my boy he is just 4 years old right now. Maybe some one could tell me how to post pics. One a motorcycle forum I frequente, they have a photo post you can download oics on, then it is click on propertys, copy url, and paste in the post. Not sure how to post pics here. Any volunteers ?
