Quick Reference VIN Decoder

I have found this information to be very helpful as a quick reference for decoding VIN tags for the '60-'66 Chevy Trucks. It can also be viewed by connecting to:

www.lmctruck.com It is located on page 8 of the current online catalog.

I hope this is helpful.

Re: Quick Reference VIN Decoder

Woogeroo:

Thanks for the working example. The vehicle number starts with 100,000, so your example should read 100,001, in order to be the first unit produced.

Thanks again for displaying the decoder process.

Re: Quick Reference VIN Decoder

I have a question!! Is there a longer wheel base than 127" ? I have a 1 ton or 1 1/2 ton. same cab and front end but the wheel base is a lot longer (I think) than 127". Any suggestions or is the frame just a lot longer past the rear wheels?

Re: Quick Reference VIN Decoder

There is a 133" and a 157" wheelbase in the 30 Series trucks.
