3500 New Venture swap?

Has any one used a New Venture 5 speed in the 67-72 pickups? If so any help will be appreciated. I have the tranny(out of a 99' chevy c1500), pressure plate and clutch. I need to get a hydraulic master cylinder and make a clutch pedal setup. Right now I have a turbo 350 and am looking for better gas mileage and was wondering if anyone has tackled this swap yet? Thanks, Jon

Re: 3500 New Venture swap?

I did the swap and it was very easy except for the master cylinder. The one in the link given is round and much smaller than the one I have. The one I have came from 90 model silverado. They must have changed them later to a smaller reservoir. mine made it difficult to mount around the brake booster. I have an early model brake booster and as you know they hang real far from the firewall and I stiil had trouble tucking the MC behind it. i will post some pics of it. You may want to find the smaller MC.

Re: 3500 New Venture swap?

Thanks, mine is from a 99 so it has the slave cylinder without the fork so it is the newer smaller version. I still have to get one but they are salty compared to the older models.
