Here's one I found, how was this done? It's molded to the metal.

Re: lets see your custom consoles

weld, nice work I have seen pics of that truck before.
tri5, I have seen several thst use part of a import console like that one.
I am going with a column shift because the radio and a/c controls along with power window switches need to go in the console, the dash will only have the gauge cluster.

Re: lets see your custom consoles

I started prototyping a center console last weekend. Layout will include two round AC vents, Pioneer head unit, HVAC control panel, and Ipod slot.

Final construction method - wood or metal - has not been set. It will not be stained wood though. This is just to set size and basic layout.

I plan to have two speakers (5.25" or 4") mounted in the sides of the console and two 3.5" speakers mounted behind the dash grill.

what a/c unit do you have? also gotta have the cup holders, funny how we use to do without them. looks good. I am using cardboard and tape to get my rough size. its free and makes starting over easy.
