anti roll bar

Now can ya'll tell me about anti-roll bars.

Is there a way to build one DIY??
Maybe use a torsion bar from some other vehicle and is there a reason to use a particular length arm, etc.
At what HP or ET is one really needed?
My drag racing experience is from 25-30 years ago. This is new technology for me.

Re: anti roll bar

So they don't twist at all. A solid bar is used?
Cheap enough.
Thanks

Re: anti roll bar

The arms that extend out do move up and down. His looks solid but I'm sure its not.
