Post What wins the show?

Just wondering, the guys that take their trucks to shows and win on some occasions, how "perfect" does your truck have to look? Do the judges look under the truck? Or is it just the engine compartment, interior and such?
Also, there is a "unfinished project" category at some local shows, what abouts are they looking for in those categories?

Thanx,
D!m

Every show is different! Ive probably been judged well over 100 times. From professional judges to rookies. Been to shows where they have mirrors on wheels so they can look under. Most shows have like 3 to 5 guys that look at different areas
If u wanna do good, you need to pay attention to small details, scratches, chips, etc. and it has to be spotless. Good luck!

The biggest thing is what class you enter it in. If you cannot eat off the underside of it,see if they have a street driven class, judging on them is much more forgiving.

It doesn't take a ton of chrome under the hood either. A nicely painted and detailed engine compartment will win a show any day.
