Re: Flex Shots!

the first pic must have broke something, or just bent the frame.

Re: Flex Shots!

Frame flexing is not hard to do on the ole’ 60's & 70's elastic framed GM trucks.

Testing the freshly installed gears and front & rear lockers. Before 6" lift. Perfect spot for off-road validation runs as this spot is less than a mile from my house.

Last summer stuck in a bottomless pit on the easiest trail in Chaffee County. Couldn't even get the tailgate to pop open enough to move the coolers in order to gain access to the recovery straps. See that tree over there.....it is way too far away to winch too.

Re: Flex Shots!

i know flexing a chevys not hard but look at the tool box, the hood/fenders, the clip copared to the bumper and the body lines. Somethings bent.

Re: Flex Shots!

the older trucks will do the bed flex with no problem onlyif, ive done it with my 71 k20 and not bent anything. the hood does look funny on the first one, but the bed is easy to move that much

Re: Flex Shots!

I get alot of frame flex and I like that way

My pass door likes to open on it's own..

Ya I know it's real bad pic, wet windsheild in the way. But you can still get an idea of the angle I was at when I was 3 wheeling it.

This is my buddie Jason drivng on my other buddy Ryan's K5/Truggy in MOAB. Jason died on the Rubicon, acedental drownning while swimming in one of the high lakes up there. This was almost 2yrs ago when he died. Some of you may know him as Willyswanter.

My friend Nate, barbasterd, in MOAB wondering how the hell he's gonna get outa that

I'm going back to MOAB in 2010
Everyone should go to MOAB at least once in your life time. THE BEST wheeling ever!

Re: Flex Shots!

I think that first truck in the thread has got to have a cracked frame at the steering box.

Re: Flex Shots!

At one time there was a really cool video from a magazine I think posted here. Showed some great flexing of a 71 or 72 if I recall.

Re: Flex Shots!

Here are a couple of Mongo taken in 1999 in the Idaho Sawtooth mountains. It was my daily driver then and obviously not a show queen. Not as extreme as some shots here but all that I have. I have had it in hairy stuff in the snow but wasn't really in a sitation where I could jump out and shoot a photo!
