New bests both NA and on the bottle.

Well, the little 347 is going to be pulled, but before it goes it made some new bests for the old truck. Here you go:

NA
60' - 1.603
330' - 4.667
1/8 ET - 7.249
1/8 MPH - 96.40
1000' - 9.513
1/4 ET - 11.456
1/4 MPH - 118.672

100 hit
60' - 1.677
330' - 4.498
1/8 ET - 6.854
1/8 MPH - 104.530
1000' - 8.941
1/4 ET - 10.73
1/4 MPH - 128.755

Best 60' of the night was a 1.598 on motor before the track started going away. I had to slightly roll in to the bottle pass. But hey, happy with what it ran.

Re: New bests both NA and on the bottle.

Is the new motor going to be a bottle baby also, or N/A? You obviously have a handle on making these things 'WORK' and work WELL.
118 is making some serious steam for only 347 n/a inches!!!!

Re: New bests both NA and on the bottle.

The new motor will be a n20 motor as well. My guess is it will run about the same NA as I did on the 100 hit. Give or take a tenth and a couple mph..

That motor definately likes the laughing gas. Nice times especially for 347 inches. The new motor should be lots of fun.

Re: New bests both NA and on the bottle.

I think some of the reason I have so much MPH is due to the converter lock up. I normally have it lock half way through 2nd gear and it stays locked through 3rd. One pass the verter did not lock until 3rd, MPH and ET both suffered. Went down to 11.75@114.8.. But I also noticed I reved it to 7400 in 2nd before shifting to third. For all I know it could have been both.

My buddy was there with his RX7 LS1 swap. He says he picks up 3mph locking the verter in 3rd.

Re: New bests both NA and on the bottle.

Nice times! Do you unlock for the 2->3 shift or leave it locked? What converter is in it?

Kalle,

It's even a smaller world.. I know of you and think we have run in to each other a few times. Brandon Stone is one of my best friends and I know he hangs out with Noah from time to time. PM me next time your in town and I'll try to hook up with you. Or if you are still around, there is the Aromas car show tonight. My band will be playing it.

Shaun Liddy

Rodms,

You'll get it going.. And you'll have fun in it for sure.

Re: New bests both NA and on the bottle.

Based on everything I put into a HP calculater my truck should run low 12's if not high 11's (doubtful do to traction tho). Its a iron 6.0L with the L92/LS3 style big port/big valve heads, Comp LSr 223/231 @ .050 - .610/.617 lift - 112LSA, Patriot Gold spring kit with titanium retainers, some chrome moly p.rods (yet to purchase), a GMPP dual plane intake, and Holley 750HP Street. 500+hp/450+tq thru 200-4r/2500rpm stall and 3.73 posi. Planning on getting some 10" rally wheels for it for some MT d/r's in the 315/60-15 I think. Should help anyway. But it still won't be as fast as yours!
