1978 tachometer cluster

Complete tach cluster pulled from a 78 GMC truck. One mounting tab is broken, but I have the piece to epoxy back on...won't affect installation. It is dirty, but everything is there including the wiring. Can get pics shortly. $150 shipped to your door. Please reply here if interested.

Re: 1978 tachometer cluster

Unsure if it works, it was pulled rom a junkyard truck that was non running. It is a direct bolt in for your 1979, all you need to do is lengthen the tach wire itself.

Re: 1978 tachometer cluster

I'd be interested if I knew that it worked and had an idea of how well it would clean up. Between the dirt and unknown condition, however, it's hard to get too excited about it. Not criticizing, just sayin'....

Point well taken. With 3 kids and a busy schedule, it is hard to find any free time at the moment, which is why the cluster wasn't cleaned up prior to taking the pictures.

However, I just went out to the garage and replaced the lens and black gauge cover (both were in bad shape), with MUCH nicer pieces from a CLEAN parts cluster I had laying around.

I did not actually clean the cluster, no time for that...but as you can see, it looks MUCH better already.

All I have is a six cylinder truck I can test this on, and even that would give an accurate idea on its working condition as this is a V8 cluster.
