Well picked this unit up back in March, just starting to get into it now, been told by a few people to start a thread. So here it goes.

Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

Did not get serious on it until about the end of August, after the shop was finished, Been collecting parts over the last few months. Pulled the body off and got going. Unfortunately I came accross the drop member therad and not knowing what they were at the time, started reading the 100's of posts. Then it has gone down hill from there. Going from a simple truck on air bags to this peice of work.

Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

Congrats looks to be super solid... now give us all the plans for it! Looks like it had some kind of sticker and or lettering on the door, maybe an old service truck?

Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

Thanks Nate, the pieces look awesome, complete front and rear drop members kits, McGaughys 13" front and rear discs. Think after the frame is together and powder coated I am going to put the body back on the way it is. For power train possibly small block and 700R4. By the way I have to agree with everyone out there, drilling rivets SUCKS!!

Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

And one last pic for today, when I got the truck, this was already done to it so I can't tell you if it was fate that went on here or what! You let me know. Also got the notch bolted in and the frame cut out today.

Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

Wow thanks for making my build look amateur and junk, so much for havin the nicest 67-72 in GP hahaha, love it, I'll settle for the nicest 67-72stepside in GP, gonna take you up on that coming to give you a hand offer, looks great, just slapped the last coat of POR15 on mine and degreased the brake setup for paint, waiting on my cross shafts and buddy to come install/weld the trailing arm reinforcement kit tomorrow to complete the suspension install, may get the rears in tomorrow, probably more realistic is monday, wanna por15 and final coat them before I install anything, nice work on the thread, kinda helps me with motivation, may tear into the motor while I wait on the rest of my chassis parts, tranny rebuild is here monday as well, keep it up looking great, groves will blast it for $200 if you pay cash and I may be able to get it there for free with my buddies car hauler as well while i'm off, off til tues

It wont be junk, every thing is cool as long it is made out of steel and not plastic. And as for the amateur part, yours is going to be way better in the body department than mine for sure. It may look good in the pictures, but up close it is a little rough, but i still like it. Has lots of character this way. I was going to do the exact same thing you are doing, but with the CPP tubular rear, but when I pulled the body the front crossmember was bent and lower control arms as well. So this was where I ended up going.

Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

Any chance of you having a few more shop logos around or sending me a good shot so I can get some made. Only if that is okay with you? I would totally rock that on the side, plus it would cover the non faded spot as well.

Some pics of yesterdays progress. Got the rear mocked up and rack and pinion notches cut out. A little welding and it's ready for blast and powdercoat.

Homer simpson drooling smiley face, nice work, I'm on hold waiting on cross shafts, engine studs and accessory bolt kit, not too impressed on missing the core parts, looking good though
