My contribution here

It's an 83' sitting on a fullsize lwb 4x4 chassis, with a custom made long bed, sbc 350, th 350, 12 bolt rear w/locker, possibly a spool (both rears are always spinning), dana 44 front. We bought the truck this way nearly 10 years ago, and this is basically what it's done since we've owned it (sat). But with a good battery, and a little ether, it will start right up, and it still runs strong. I don't know how much longer it will sit in it's current state, the chassis is really solid, and with 2 other trucks I could put on it, it may get changed. But as it sits I think it's a pretty cool little/big truck.

Re: My contribution here

Looks like a unique project. I'd be interested in seeing more pics of the bed. How long is the bed? Just an idea, but it would be cool with a s10 blazer back half on it. Kind of like an s10 suburban.

Re: My contribution here

I'll try to get some more pics for ya tonight, it lives at my folks place now cause the city man didn't like it in my yard. The bed was extended at the front, as old as the build is it has held up pretty well. If they would have used an extended cab and a long bed, I think it would have worked out the same, but as the story goes, they used what they had.

Not a bad hybrid... how much was added to the bed? What size tires?

This is mine (1989 S10 on a 1976 K5 frame - 350/TH350, 44 front, 12 bolt rear running 37s):
