Nice sounding 400, stall and gears for the cam?

muthstryker, only one muffler sounds that good, they are Flowmasters, look to be 40 series.

stock stall converter stalls about at 1200
gears= are 3:42 open for now (posi in a week or 2)
cam = lost the cam card /: but its a .503/.510 lift Elgin cam

and that was with 28inch tall tires. ive got 25inch tall rubbers i have for it

yup flowmaster 40's,long tube headers. 2,1/4 inch pipe dumped before the rear end.

I had to show this to a friend - he likes it. He said it sounds like it may take a little more timing. 36 to 38 total fully advanced at 2500 rpm. You may have a little more left in the beast. Nice truck!

What do you mean? Set the timing around there at 2500rpm. It's at 16 at 1k rpm

i personally like the 50's a bit more... had them on my car, a lot deeper, fuller? sounding than the 40's that are on my blazer.
