99 S-10 door hinge pins

My drivers door hinge pin is wore out to the point the door sags and hits when closed. I noticed the hole for the pin is now egg shaped. Is there a hinge pin kit to help with this problem?

I have found replacement pins and bushings, but is this the same thing I need for a hole that is too large?

Thanks for the help!

Re: 99 S-10 door hinge pins

I just did these on our 88 blazer, now i i've heard of people putting jb weld with the bushing and let it dry for couple of day before mounting door(dont know how long it would hold up). common fix is to weld the hold and redrill it

Re: 99 S-10 door hinge pins

It actually looks like the bushing is wore out. The hole in the hinge looks to be round still. I found a hinge/bushing kit online and ordered it.

Thanks again for the help.

Re: 99 S-10 door hinge pins

I got my kit for a few bucks at the local autozone/advance in the "help" section. The hardest part is getting the spring in/out on the upper hinge. Made a huge difference on my door. I didn't notice how bad it was until it really sucked, luckily only my bushings were egg shaped.

Re: 99 S-10 door hinge pins

, i bought the bushings for our company truck at Advance auto parts for 24 buxs for both sides, they make a specical tool for the door spings they sell on ebay for about 20 buxs but i made mine, using an old piece of chain out of my car was Chain is a d88k chain, grounsd the ends off so ti would fit in the spring and drilled a hole for a bolt
