I'm trying to decide on mirrors for my 67 c10. It had the large tow mirrors that mount to both window frame and door. All I have for mounting holes are the ones left from the 2 tow mirrors and 3 screws on the drivers door. I would like to have mirrors on both doors. Was thinking of the 50's style that hang from the window frame, since I already have holes there now. Any suggestions Pics.

What are you going to use the truck for? That will determine what mirrors you should use. If you want stock there were several options available. If you are going to have a camper on it you need those big swing-out models. Hotrod...keep them small and close in with "period" look. Just my 0.02. Whatever you decide, weld up the rest of the holes and repaint.

Tough question. I too took off the big three point mount mirrors and added period mirrors from a supply house. Really not satisfied with the way the mirrors work. On mine I can not get enough angle on the passenger side without adding a wide angle stick on. They work better in a vertical mode but every truck I see has them mounted horizontally. Another thing to think about is the rake you set your trucks suspension. Mine originally was about 5.5 front and 4.5 in the rear. I am changing to a level look because it gives me more mirror angle for a daily driver. One of the surprises to me at least of the build out were constant question of "look" verus "safety." It is kind of important to be able to see who/what is behind you. have a great ride.

I like the look of peep mirrors hanging from the top of the doors, you may not be able to see much, but they are really cool

What are period mirrors?

I believe he's refering to mirrors available as OE in 67-72, or during that "period" of time. My preference on a 67 are the small round long-arm OE style mirrors available from 67-69. You can still buy them new aftermarket. Dreaminator, I agree, the small 70-72 rectangular mirror won't angle enough on the pass side for visibility.
