so I am replacing the frame in my 4x4 crewcab with a 2wd frame since I wrecked it. I know theres a few differences but I was going to use the 4wd motor mount brackets on the 2wd frame, but the frame is a different height in that area. anyone run into that before? I don't have the 2wd mounts and wanna use the 4wd stuff.

i thought frame rails were all the same except 2wd having "A" frames on the front and 4wd not...

I ran into that before. I used the 4x4 cross member in my 76 1 ton 2wd frame. I had to drill a few holes and I think I had to trim the cross member a little to get it in if I remember correctly. But the frames aren't the same like most people claim they are.

well I have a custom crossmember since I'm running a cummins but wasn't sure if the motor mount brackets would go right in or not, the 2wd frame is about 1/2" shorter in that area. wish I had just found another 4x4 frame but at this point I just have to make this one work.
