What is a good place to order parts from?

I just got this project and will need a lot of stuff over time.
I found a place called Brothers. Looks like they have a lot of stuff,,,

Just wondering what some good places to use.

And to stay away from.

Re: What is a good place to order parts from?

there are plenty of places to buy parts from online. Classic Industries, LMC, Year One, Brothers... That's just a few that I know of the top of my head. Also, it depends on what parts you are looking for. ECE, CCP are pretty good to use for suspension and brakes.

gmcpuals.com as a great selection of parts for these trucks too.

Brothers is doing a sale right now, so if they have anything that is pressing you want to do or big ticket item they have on sale, you might want to grab it up if you got the money now.

Here is a link to this sites vendors list, you really should try to support them if possible, they help keep this site in business.

And here's a link to the Review Board, where you can read about members' vendor experiences, good or bad.

Oh BTW, welcome to the boards!

Wes, at Classic Heartbeat, is in OR. He's good to deal with and a board member.

Re: What is a good place to order parts from?

From my experences with LMC I wouldn't use them unless its small pieces. I've talked to WES several times on the phone and he uses what he sells. So that being said if people don't use what they sell they dont know how stuff fits, and how good quality the stuff is.

Classicparts.com is pretty much a one stop shop for me. Usually the best price on just about everything and good stuff.

Bought quite a bit of stuff from LMC so far and everything has fit great and worked well. I have not bought any body panels from them so I can say about those.

Re: What is a good place to order parts from?

LMC is probably ok, just saying they'd be my last choice.

GMCPauls is another one I have always had great luck with.

Actually he's in Olympia, WA.

I've bought lots of stuff from Wes for my '72 GMC. Wes is a good cat...
