That is what one sold for this weekend on ebay. I know that is a crazy number but I would not mind getting the most I can, I might even put it on ebay myself. Anyway make me a offer, I know ebay charges fee's and such so I will take that into consideration. I wasn't even thinking about selling it to I saw it was worth some real money.

Re: WTB Blazer Inside Spare Carrier

eBay is nuts. Seen them sell here for less than $100 recently. Guess I'll keep looking...

Re: WTB Blazer Inside Spare Carrier

I just got one from a great guy down in Va, Pro-Trucks. My inside was rhino lined, but once I ran a tap through the threads, it bolted right up. I used 7/16 fine by 3/4 inch bolts. It is great to have the spare in there.

Re: WTB Blazer Inside Spare Carrier

I found one in a 73+ blazer in a junk yard one time, it was still bolted in and had to have been correct, maybe check if you have any yards close to you with them in it. I think I sold it for 95 shipped, and shipping was just under 20. I had a 31x10.5x15 wheel/tire on it and that was on the border of too big.

That's more in line with what I was thinking, but after this thread, everyone will put them on eBay...

Guys, they are reproduced. I don't think anyone knows this? LMC has them in their 73-91 Blazer catalog. They've been out for quite awhile. $179.00

Does not look exactly the same. I would like to see a real picture of one with dimensions to make sure. I would sell mine for $425 plus shipping if anyone is interested. I need the money to pay for my Buddy Buckets, LOL.

Ridiculous. That $179 price seemed WAY out of line two weeks ago...

Re: WTB Blazer Inside Spare Carrier

I bought a really nice one in original paint for $115 when I bought mine over summer off here. It was higher than I seen, but I knew it was really nice. They are out there, and I am still skeptical that they are "now" going for that price. Especially when they have been sitting at $60-90 for 5-6 years. I still think either friends helped bid it up against someone who really really really needed one or someone with a lot of money in their pocket who bid on the first one they found. To me, they are still no where close to tow hooks. Those are a special case. Trevor

It does seem high but so does:
Buddy Buckets $500.00 unrestored
Factory AM/FM Radio $400.00
Factory Tilt Wheel $300.00
NOS Window Regulators $300.00
Factory Big Block Motor Mounts $???
This list goes on and on. Truth is these parts are getting harder and harder to find. I just can't believe I finally have one of those hard to find items that I really don't need. By the way I paid the asking price for all of the above items. I know it was high but that is what the price was and I paid it. Can't say I am a hippacret(if I spelled that right).

Re: WTB Blazer Inside Spare Carrier

I understand parts are getting harder to find. This site is a blessing for most of us. I have all of those parts you have listed in multiples, but all were cheaper than what you bought them for. I have bought tilts for $75, tach dashes for as low as $30, am/fms for $100, etc. Deals are out there, you just got to be quick to the draw, or find some honey holes! Really though, the rarest things are the first to go, and that's why I collect them for projects when they come up. They aren't always going to be around, and why not pick them up now when they still are. All I am saying, and agree with most in the thread is that these interior spare tire brackets aren't really rare items for these trucks like some of the parts already mentioned. Rare is $$$, factory 8 track players, shoulder belts, cruise control, etc are rare. Tow Hooks aren't really rare either, but it's just that a lot of past trucks that had them were sold for scrap and crushed over the years. I agree on both sides, but we will see if all spare carriers will continue on going for sky high $. Trevor

Well, the precedent is set now. Not sure there's any going back. I think I'll buy up all of LMC's stock and flood eBay with them, just for fun!

This is around the price I was expecting to see when I first posted this WTB and why I was SHOCKED at the $685 number above. I wasn't sure if he meant $65 or $85 Now I know better...
