White or two tone

I am close to laying some paint and am still up in the air about the color. My truck is stock white. I am going back and forth between going back to stock or this silver and white two tone. Not sure where I got this picture but I like the colors and the way the two tone is applied.

So what do you guys think? White or tow tone silver/white?

Re: White or two tone

Judging by that particular pic.. That looks more Silver to me.. My opinion only..
Being I said that... It looks totally killer...

I'm bias, most of my trucks are white.. But I like that particular truck.. Silver over white, sounds better than gray.

Re: White or two tone

Your right, not sure why I said gray when I meant silver. If I go two tone I will be using a similar color as above. I fixed the post....

Both my tucks are white...lol

Man that is a tough one. I can't really answer since I like them both. It will look sharp which ever direction you go.

Plain white is pretty plain in my opinion. Color makes everything look better.

Re: White or two tone

personally like the two tones mine is dark blue and silver,, I think the white truck alone looks kinda like a commercial vehicle the silver offsets it nicely

Re: White or two tone

The silver/white two tone. The truck above looks great with it. Very clean, crisp look.

Re: White or two tone

I like the two tone paint jobs. but, if you want all white take a look at the 2005 up Chrysler 300 Cool Vanilla. much warmer shade of white without overpowering.

Re: White or two tone

I like the silver and white one you posted. maybe it's the picture, but the white roof looks like it's kinda lost. (The contrast of the two isn't very noticeable.) How about silver with the white inserts on the sides?

Re: White or two tone

I have spent countless hours getting it ready for paint, and have many more to go- I will be stuck with it for a while. I was painting a Dodge truck white today and the color was called brilliant white, I like that it was a bit brighter than the original Chevy color..

Big Mike, that was the inspiration for my 87.

I will have to check that out. My buddy wants me to paint it pearl, but I don't like the dimmer color although my wife named the truck Pearl the day I brought it home...

My vote is white. I wanted to do either two tone or white. Since I have two tone I want someone else to do a nice white one. lol

Clayton, I remember you talking about those slick badges you used. Where did you get them?

Billetbadges.com

Man I was very impressed with the quality. I'm actually thinking about having a small one made for my dash on the passenger side.

If you decide to do some let me know what it is going to say. I kind of wish I had made mine look like the factory emblems. I'll sketch yours up on the factory foot print.

Re: White or two tone

I was just thinking about doing a "Silverado" one for the front fenders. My original ones are toast and repop's are fairly pricey. Might as well do something different. Looks like they are about $50 a pop. Could you sketch one that said "Silverado" ?

It cost me approx. 125$ for two. There is an additional fee for design work (putting the design in the waterjet machine). I'll try and sketch you something up in the next few days. You just want it to say Silverado and nothing else? Do you want to use the factory style lettering?

Re: White or two tone

Silver and white two tone doesn't do it for me, but pretty much all other two tone jobs do. Just not enough contrast from white to silver I guess...
