68' C10 best option for perfect leveling

Whats up guys, I've been reading through the static dropped page and I've gathered some things from everyone's input. A 5in drop in the front and a 7in drop in the rear looks great but isnt really made for daily driving. (correct me if im wrong**) What is more streetable would be a 4'6 drop. I want my truck to be level also, there wont be cut coils. Fresh brand new coils and drop shocks. What my question is would 4'6 be level and still driveable or should i just go balls to the walls and do the 5'7 with little to no repercussions. Also would drop blocks be an acceptable/professional way to get that one-two more inches in the rear? Thanks guys!!

Re: 68' C10 best option for perfect leveling

2 1/2" drop spindles on the front and 5" lowering springs on the rear is a good start. I do these quite often, and its hard to predict the height the factory front springs will ultimately settle in. I've found front coils that are factory 6 cyl seem to have a lower stance than the V8 models, although it may just be from being "tired". This is a good first step with your stock front springs. Try it and see if you need to go lower. If so, order the lower front spring, then next step is adding lowering block for the rear and most likely notch the frame. Drop spindles don't affect the ride quality, but from my experience, the lower you go, the ride quality erodes (gets real bumpy) quickly. But it looks cool. So thats when air ride come in, best of both. HTH

I have a 5.5/7 inch drop on mine thats 2.5 inch dop spindles and 3 inch lowering springs up front, PB trailing arms with 3 inch drop built in, rear shock relocaters and 2-piece c-notch with 4 inch lowering springs. It has a great ride I fill like it could be driven everyday.

Re: 68' C10 best option for perfect leveling

That C10 looks good, I can see how the .5 inches of drop effected the front. I love the overall stance. I already have the rear suspension prepped for the drop (c-notches, 5in springs, relocated shock mount etc..) I think I'm going with the 4/6 drop. 2in drop spindle with 2in drop springs up front with the 1in drop blocks in the rear.
