Rear Bag Setup
Im in the process of back halfing my 68 and was wondering how to set up the bags and bars. I doing a 3 link like hales speed shop does. Do you set the bag up with it layed out or at ride height? Does it matter how long your lower bar is?

The longer the lower bar, the less pinion change through the range of travel & the better the ride quality.
Placement of the bars is usually steered by logistics (what/where do you have room). Farther apart = increased stability. Same concept w/the placement of the bags. I always plan & set-up my stuff @ ride heights. Laying out is not a concern for me. Low ride height & ride quality are so thats why I start from there. I also choose my component placement based on my ride height reference points as bag height & pressures are optimum @ certain dimensions (available from the bag/shock manufacturers). If your top priority is to lay the frame rail, that would be your starting point for placement & selection of bags/shocks.
