72 engine wiring harness

I have a 72 blazer and and I"m looking to buy a new wiring harness for the engine bay. The wiring in the engine bay looks like some one hacked it apart then taped it back together. Any suggestions for a new one? brands and such. I searched the forum and didn't find any threads about this. Are the harnesses the same for all the C, K, 2WD and 4WD? Thanks for any help. This is the first time I have tried to re-wire a truck.

Re: 72 engine wiring harness

You could post a WTB on the truck parts board and make use of a clean original harness(es). I believe the engine harnesses will differ amongst V8 motors depending on whether the truck has gauges in the cluster or not. The forward lamp harnesses will differ depending on year (71-72 Chevy are are same) and/or make (Chevy vs. GMC differ).

Re: 72 engine wiring harness

American Auto Wire is a popular one. There are board members / vendors that carry this product.

Re: 72 engine wiring harness

I got a complete set from LMC that was really simple to install. Was basic plug and play. Everything fit without any issues.
