question about trailing arm brackets

I was wondering if anyone has built there own trailing arm brackets to have adjustments? I have a 64 c10! I remember seeing somewhere on here about someone using square tubing, then cut one side off, drill some holes at an angle! they looked really good, if anyone can help that would be great thanks!!

Re: question about trailing arm brackets

Have not seen that one. Several folks have flipped the brackets on lowered trucks to help with the pinion angle. I just put a shim in mine.

Re: question about trailing arm brackets

I remember seeing the bracket you talked about. Don't remember where. Porterbuilt makes a crossmember that has all the adjustments. Pretty cheap too.

Re: question about trailing arm brackets

ya I found the thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=278864 , but cant see the pics of it! I talked to the guys at work and they said they can just bend it for me if I give them some measurements! or I can look for some 3"x3" scrape tubing! anyways the only think I need to do is figure out if I should drill the holes straight up and down, at an angle! if I do them at an angle, how much of an angle? any help would be great!!!!!

Call early classic enterprise
they will sell you as set of bolt on brackets. I think I gave 60$ shipped. They have the straight ones for oe type member or
the angled ones if you want to build a custom member out of straight stock. They will also give you the hardware

Re: question about trailing arm brackets

They are not on their site. They don't list them for sale. I just called and told them I needed a set to build a custom set up and they said sure and sold me a set. They were lazer cut and formed. Powder coat black and had grade8 bolts

Re: question about trailing arm brackets

the black brackets on top are the ones I'm wanting to make! I already got some 3x3" 3/16 square tubing, I might just make them look the same instead of drilling the holes at an angle

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
