LS Swap

I am seriously thinking of doing a ls swap in my 72 lwb. I was thinking stock engine w 4l60 trans? I want the overdrive. Was thinking just stock for the best mileage as my 16 yr old son would be driving along with me. I have a few questions.

Where did you buy your motor and how much?
Did you get the trans, harness, ecm with it?
What did you do for a fuel system?
I have someone that can do the ecm programing for me who done yours?
What parts are required for the swap besides motor mounts?
Harness did you use stock harness or custom?

I am not a beginner mechanic. I will be doing all the work myself minus ecm programming and wiring harness. I have been told to buy the custom harness, messing with a stock one to make it work wasn't worth the time.
Thanks for any info.....
