68 OLDS Posi 52 GMC
Will it work? hemmings says 59" and the 52 is 60" give or take a hal with any help I'm new and will have a lot of questions the 5.3 has been purchased as well as the 4l60e. the rear is a 12 bolt posi with 2.78 gears every day driver??

It'll really like highway cruising with those gears, and you'll get fantastic gas mileage. haha
But really those tall gears will be fine. My 92 Oldsmobile has a 4L60 and 2.73 gear stock, and weighs about 4500 lbs. I get about 20 mpg and it has decent pickup for a TBI 305. |

I would think it would be ok, if it looks funny once you have the wheels on you could always put in longer wheel studs and 1/2" wheel spacers.

If you are not 'totally invested in the wheels", you might change the offset on the rear wheels, to make up the difference? IMHO, a safer way to get the track width right.... Longhorn
