Losing Fuel Pressure ?

I had my QJet rebuilt by the Carb Shop in Ontario Calf. Throttle shaft rebushed and complete overhaul including well plugs epoxied. Before I reinstalled the carb I plumbed in two inline fuel filters, one a clear glass see thru type to insure no foreign matter got into the carb. After sitting a day or two you can see NO fuel in the filter and it takes forever to restart. Appears that the fuel is leaking back out thru the pump ? Any one experience this before ? Thanks

Re: Losing Fuel Pressure ?

Was there any pressure leak prior to the rebuilt?

possible problem with the fuel pump. Easy check would be take a small pair of needle nose vise grips and pinch the rubber line from the tank to the pump off overnight. If there's still fuel in the filter in the morning, the pump may be the problem.
