will this brake booster work?

hey guys..

i found this on craigslist and can you guys tell if this will work with my front disc brake conversion?

how can i tell when i am looking for brake boosters if they will work with front disc brakes and rear drums?

You need the brake booster for a 1971-72 assuming you have the 1971-72 master cylinder.
If you don't have a 1971-72 master cylinder then you need to get one because from 1967-70 drum brakes were standard and used a different master cylinder/prop valve.
In fact the bracketry and push rod are completely different as well and a hole will have to be drilled into the brake pedal 1" higher than the factory mounting location.
Go check out the POL or CPP aftermarket kit because it sounds like you need everything.

That's not true actually. there are many other years of power boosters/ MC combos you can use. 73-87 Chevy trucks are good donor setups. You might have to change a few things, but you can make it work.

You are right but it's a lot easier to simply bolt in the 1971-72 unit than to try and reinvent the wheel, I'm just trying to make it easy for the guy.
