ECE front brake hose replacement?

I bought one of the ECE front disc brake conversions for my 68 C10 and I just found that one of my front rubber hoses got pinched and needs to be replaced. I was hoping to find a replacement at a local auto parts but I've had no luck so far.

Does anyone know of a good replacement for this? I was really hoping to get it fixed this weekend.

Thanks,

Rich

They are conversion hoses, ends are different.

Re: ECE front brake hose replacement?

someone mentioned a 78 Camaro hose in a post but I could not confirm the size on one. I would like it to be longer than this one.

Re: ECE front brake hose replacement?

Look it up on NAPA and I think you can get the specs so you know before you go. My NAPA had to order it... which took 4 hours to arrive!

NAPA is sometimes (not always!) a little more expensive. But most of the stuff is good and the catalogs and parts guys a little sharper. Been very helpful with the 70.

From their description it sounds very close and they have one instock locally so I will go check it out tomorrow. Thanks

Re: ECE front brake hose replacement?

The Napa 36616 worked perfectly, it is a little shorter than the hose from ECE but everything else is the same. The shorter hose actually works better with the lowered truck now I don't have to worry about it getting pinched. Thank you picklito for the part number.

Re: ECE front brake hose replacement?

Great info! I cross referenced the Napa part number with autozone and oreillys. They all carry them on the shelf, $9.95 each. I picked up a pair of hoses....AND new calipers, pads, and banjo bolts for the same amount of money it would have cost me for the hoses alone from ece. The hoses have been the only part keeping me from doing a budget disk brake conversion using off the shelf parts locally available.

Excellent. You might share the other part numbers on here incase someone else needs the full set.

Thanks,

Rich
