Re: 72 super gets new shoes

I love that truck. Definitely my top color combo on these trucks. I am not 100% convinced that I like the dog dishes, and I can tell you with certainty that had I bought that truck, those would have been the first wheels and caps that I would have tried. I actually think its the trim on the truck that does it for me. The wheels/caps just don't feel right. It worries me, because those are the wheels and caps that I have ready to go on my Blazer CST.

Edit: the longer I look at it the more I like the wheels/caps.

Re: 72 super gets new shoes

Looks sharp either way. I'm a bit unlike the crowd when it comes to swb k10s - I prefer the stock skinnies, and in this truck, the PO1s just seem right to me. This was a top of the line truck when someone ordered it, and the PO1s were the top of the line, the only full wheel cover option. Having said that, other than the C10 I had in my late teens, I've always had PO3s. Love the classic white wheel + cap look. But for some reason, really liking the PO1s for this one. I didn't realize you bought this little gem - I remember it well when it came up for sale. Would've loved to - but timing wasn't right - very glad you got it. Ya can't really go wrong with either of the wheel options on this truck, looking great!

Love the dog dish/wide wheel look. Never been a fan of the PO1. Going to be a nice truck when you're done! Is the color what is known as "grapefruit"?

Re: 72 super gets new shoes

I like the steels with small caps, especially white ones with your color combo. That is also referred to graprferukt iirc, and is interesting and different from everything else out there. Cant wait to see it with the bush bar removed a d new rear sport bumper, should look great

Kevin,
How are you liking you new shoes? I put some 32 11.50 15's on my Blazer. I am not sure I like them, just a tad too big.

Yeah, the rings are off of GM 15" wheels they are a little narrower than original rally trim rings. I can't remember what they came off exactly. The wheels are some 15 x 8's that were black and too nice to re-paint just yet.
