Re: Vendor Manes truck parts

I've had good luck with them. They aren't always the cheapest, but they will work with you. I ordered some parts that didn't work together, they called me and told me before they shipped them. They would have lost money on the deal, (I ended up buying some other things) but at least they were honest and cared enough to tell me.

Also... there was another guy buying stuff from them that lived close to me, so we got a deal on freight shipping. Not often you find companies willing to go through this much trouble for people. Even paying customers.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Bought a Dana rear from him in 1996 or so. It went home in the back of a Honda Accord.

Re: Vendor Manes truck parts

I would recommend them before LMC any time. They're run by a husband and wife in a metal pole barn about 30 minutes east of KCMO on I-70. Real nice, honest people and definitely know what they're talking about. Been there many times.

I used to buy all of my parts from them until I found a great vendor 60 miles from me..... Never had a problem. I stopped by and picked stuff up on my way to TeXas a few times. Nice folks.

Re: Vendor Manes truck parts

Ron and Candy Manes have been doing this a loooooong time. We built most of my truck back in the mid 90's with their parts. Back then they were in Raytown, MO and had a huge volume of used and NOS parts. You could go into the yard and look through a stack of 100's of fenders, or battery trays, or cabs or you name it. Inside the store were many many shelves cataloged with used parts...bins full of tachs, whatever you wanted. He called it the "Candy Store" and man it was an incredibly fun thing to do on a Saturday morning with Dad. Don't hesitate to buy from them, they know their stuff!

Re: Vendor Manes truck parts

What these guys said. Mom and pop shop. Honest people (refunded shipping when it cost them less than the website said it would). Parts come quick. Shipping is pretty expensive so I try to order a lot at once. Same goes for anywhere else really. I have also bought used parts from them with no issues.

Re: Vendor Manes truck parts

great people, i have ordered from them several times. I had an issue with fender GMC emblems where the red paint came off and they refunded my money and told me to keep the emblems as they did not have a solution to a new replacement at that time, as it was an issue from china supplier.

Re: Vendor Manes truck parts

I've talked to him many a times... Sold him some stuff and bought some too.
Friends have bought from him as well. Nice honest people.
I even setup down from him at a swap meet here in Wichita for a few years now. Lots of visiting and story swapping. I vote thumbs up!

I ordered a few a/c parts from them a couple months ago. Reasonable price and quick ship. I'd order from them again.

One of the only places that I know of which carry the woodgrain inserts for the 72 Cheyenne doors panels. Pretty nice pieces also.

Re: Vendor Manes truck parts

I just bought a set of 67-71 Big Block Chevy engine stands from Manes for 1/2 the cost LMC or Classic Parts was asking. Manes is where I shop first from now on! PS. Wish I had known about them earlier! "just sayin"
