Question Help On Naming A Part..

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to find you out where I could find this frame piece. The passenger side piece is pretty rusted and I wanted to replace it, but no luck finding it anywhere. I probably didn't search right, not knowing its name didn't help either.

I have circled it in the picture to show where is it located. It is the L shaped brace piece where the upper control arms bolt into it and it bolts to the frame.

I apologize about posting this here, I am new to the forum and I didn't know where I could post such a question.

I appreciate y'all for the awesome resources you guys been posting!

Naz

I do not think you will find an aftermarket one. They should be plentiful since the parts are interchangeable for so many years. I think it is riveted on. I am sure someone near you on the board would have an extra.

I got a 70 1/2.

I was hoping I could get a new one, but since they don't make it I will be looking for one in the junk yard near me.

Let me know if you got one.

Thanks Kevin.

Its hard to find such pieces around here, and if I was lucky, it will be rusted, . But I will look around the forum for one.

Thanks.

Re: Help On Naming A Part..

You could expand your search into square bodies. I'm not sure about the rivet holes, but the part would be the same.

I think you posted in the right spot.As long as it doesn't become a want to buy ad i think your cool.
The part you have circled is part of the cross member. Its riveted onto the cross member and bolts to the frame.I'm not sure if anyone sells that piece, but i bet you could find someone parting out a truck on this site or Craigslist.
