1970 GMC Interior Color Question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hi guys, looking for a little help from the experts. I'm getting ready to redo my dad's 70 GMC 1 Ton 9' bed truck for him. I trying to get all of my ducks in a row before I dig into it. According to the glove box door, it has "622 Gold Vinyl Trim", but if I check online, all of the re-sellers seem to only list Saddle or Sandalwood. Also the interior looks more of an Ivory or off white than gold. I've attached a couple of pictures. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Extremely hard color to duplicate.
It's a one year only color. 1970.
Sandalwood is the closest but it's too dark.
Parchment is too light.

They don't remake the gold colors I've searched everywhere for my truck too mines 623 gold custom There's a place I believe it's called sms fabrics that sells all the original colors you'd just have to have it made at an upholstery shop.

Oh boy... and I thought welding up the cab corners would be the toughest part...

Yeah, I'd hardly call it Gold if GM didn't. I think of Banana when I see it. You may find vinyl in a close color, but you won't have the factory pattern. Might try dye? Anyway, good luck and I hope the restoration goes well. That's a great truck!

We have material for a 623 Gold Cloth interior, including the center scroll, ordered from SMS now.

I'll have to check out SMS. I wonder how different 622 & 623 are.

623 has a cloth insert. It looks like this. This is what mine would look like if I had it done.
