Odd bracket behind cowl extension?

They were on my parts truck (65 C10) but not my original 65 GMC.

ITs a needed braket to stop airflow. your should NOT be bent upwards, they lay flat.

Re: Odd bracket behind cowl extension?

Oh I see. The cowl extensions were already removed when I got the parts truck. Probably supposed to have some rubber attached to it?

Re: Odd bracket behind cowl extension?

You can use a 1/8" think piece of stiff rubber and glue it to the underside and fit it in place to stop the water and dust from getting under the hood.

Re: Odd bracket behind cowl extension?

My 66 originally didn't have rubber on them. No staple holes either. I wonder if it was later model year change...
