Who makes seat covers other than PUI?

I need a new factory replica seat cover for my '71 C20 Cheyenne in Parchment color with the authentic scroll pattern. The only manufacturer I can find that makes the version for Cheyenne trucks is PUI Interiors (Parts Unlimited, Inc.) That is who every vendor sources from (Brothers, LMC, Tucker, Classic Industries, Eckler's, all of them...) and they are all showing out of stock / backorder. I spoke to PUI today was told that their production runs are currently running 6 months behind. Is there any other manufacturer besides PUI that makes the Cheyenne version of the seat cover with the correct scroll pattern?

Their website sucks but they usually have the correct material (i.e. white is parchment).

Ask for a sample before ordering. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure SMS has the correct parchment vinyl now and can make them.

I just ordered a set from CarsInc - it doesn’t say that it will be 15-16 weeks to ship when you order but if they are correct, the price is excellent.

Your local auto upholstery shop can make you one.

Re: Who makes seat covers other than PUI?

Only thing of warning if using SMS, I ordered a seat cover from SMS last April for my 74 C20. Still don't have it.

Re: Who makes seat covers other than PUI?

I have material coming from SMS and have been waiting since September. They were shut down for Covid and are trying now trying to get caught up. I'm local to them and my upholstery guy says he will be picking up the material next week.
Fingers crossed!

Re: Who makes seat covers other than PUI?

Thanks, guys. It sounds like SMS is in the same predicament as PUI in terms of backorders. The Carsinc website indicates that theirs is for the Cheyenne but it doesn't have a photo of it and it doesn't say anything about having the authentic scroll pattern that distinguishes the Cheyenne trim level seats from the plain vinyl seats. Have any of you bought the Cheyenne version from Carsinc and can verify that it has the scroll pattern?

Re: Who makes seat covers other than PUI?

There is or was a company called Truck World that produced the correct scrolling. I have two sets and they are very nice. Double stitching, crisp scrolling vs muted kinda blurry edges of PUI’s. At one time Brothers could order them. Think forum member SoCoC10 can get them, as well as Southern Kentucky Classics. There are a lot of posts about Truck World. Check out Good luck with your search, Lee.

I think the scroll on the Highlanders is the same as the Cheyenne and Carsinc shows that they are doing it for the Highlander seat cover that I ordered so hopefully they do it for yours too. They were responsive by email when I contacted them. https://carsinc.com/1972-chevrolet-p...een-24210.html

Truck world is worth looking into if there still available. I have them in my truck and there well made and look very much like the original.

I don't know if Al Knoch does these, but they are the gold standard in Corvette interiors. Nice people too.
