I guess add me to the list, but I'm sure it will sell. The sad part is if it was a short bed, it would sell tomorrow.

You're right. That IS very, very, very sad. I've never understood the obsession with shortbeds.

Re: Parting hot rod 72 Cheyenne

The sad thing is this truck would be perfect for me. Unfortunately I need to sell the '05 Infinity G35 in order to get it. I'm not having much luck with selling the car yet. If it isn't parted by the time I sell the Infinity I will get ahold of you!!

Re: Parting hot rod 72 Cheyenne

On second thought, if the engine goes, maybe you would be willing to sell the body seperately as a whole thing. I'm not trying to jump in front of anyone wanting parts, but it seems to me that we all want to see this truck stay together. So in my mind if you can split the motor and the truck up seperatley and make the money you are looking to make then that seems to me to be the very best solutions. If that sounds like something you are interested in let me know when you sell the engine, and if I'm in a position at the time I would love to discuss purchasing the rest of the rolling chassis. I don't need quite so stout of a motor as it would be more of a daily driver truck for me. Again I hope I don't step on any toes of anyone wanting parts, but I thought this may be a better solution, for the trucks sake.

!!warning!! opinion of someone who's not selling the truck and has had a few beers tonight... !!warning!!

if you're wanting to buy the entire truck minus the motor, i see no issue with that at all. i realize people have posted that they want other parts first, but a) it's a better deal for the seller if you were to buy the whole thing and b)this thread was started with the purpose of selling the motor only.

all of the "i want this if you part it" posts are null and void IMO.

And if anybody actually were to get upset that the truck stayed together instead of them getting a few parts off of it, then they're just sick in the head.

Seriously.

Re: Parting hot rod 72 Cheyenne

I saw this when first posted and was considering the Whole truck but I just spent the money on a 2wd blazer otherwise I would have kept that thing whole and in the family.

Go to the original link...paint job is marginal, holes in the doors and there's rust. $10K should get you a truck w/out these problems.

Actually the rust is minor. Needs a passenger side rocker panel. Very common for these trucks. The speaker holes suck but are also very common for these trucks. The paint is very nice for a driver but not a show type truck. I would rather have someone think the paint is better than described that be upset with my description when they look at the truck. Thanks for your help though.
