Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

88 dippy, been there, I bet it irritates you to see the truck RIGHT THERE but you have to wait to get it out later, it bugged me somethin fierce...lol

to the other trucks on this page... dang, seems like everybody had a light bar on their bumper but me... I'd just like to find a painted one and cut it off bumper height to mount a couple of lights to, but none are available anymore apparently.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Hey guys, I haven't been around lately, but I just got a call from my friend with the brown GMC with some sickening news. It's probably going to the scrapper. The reason is the shackel is shot and the spider gears exploded. We looked at the numbers and the truck had a 3:43 gear ratio in it. Is this possible? I'm depressed now.

Hi Jvsapp,

those are 22" rims (with a 295/30/22 tire). For the drop we ised a self made flip kit in the back and (i think) springs from a Caprice (with Bigblock) in the front, we had the shocks custom made by Sachs.

Oh, btw, we're almost done, here some new pics.

Very nice. so just a flip kit out back? no c notch? what year caprice springs? i have a set of 91 caprice spring from my bro's caprice when he put in some lowered springs into his caprice. looks good. i am hoping i can bring my truck down but i have a 350, 22's as well with 295/35 i think. they were free so i can't remember.

probably 3:42 like what i have in my truck. very common. why not get new shackles and a replacement axle? any truck 73-87 1/2 ton will fit. probably $100 from the junkyard at the most. don't let another longbed head to the scrapper....

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Hey guys, I'm back again. I have an update on my '81 C20. I took the topper off, added some aluminum diamond plate trim, and I have a some used parts coming for it. Personally, I like it without the topper. What do you think?
